\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Poker is a game of strategy, skill and luck. In it, players must make wagers on their own or as part of a larger group and then determine whether to call or raise other player’s bets. The object of the game is to win the “pot” – an aggregate sum of all of the bets made in a single hand.<\/p>\n

The Rules of Poker<\/h4>\n

There are a number of different forms of poker, but the most popular is Texas Hold’Em, which is played by six or more players. The game starts with each player making a small ante, which is the amount of money they wish to invest in the game.<\/p>\n

Once all the players have placed their antes, each player receives two cards from a dealer (a person who deals the cards). The dealer must keep these cards secret from everyone else and must only reveal them to other players when the betting is over.<\/p>\n

The Player’s Tell<\/h4>\n

Each poker player has a tell, which is an unconscious habit that reveals information about their hands to other players. They may be as simple as eye contact or as complex as a gesture.<\/p>\n

The Rank of Standard Poker Hands<\/h4>\n

In standard poker games, the highest possible hand is five of a kind. This beats any straight or flush, and three of a kind beats two pairs.<\/p>\n

Ties are broken by the highest unmatched card or secondary pair.<\/p>\n

The Rank of Jokers<\/h4>\n

Most poker games use 52 cards, but some also use a few jokers. Jokers may be used as wild cards, which can take on any suit and rank the player wants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
